Hello, my name is Barbara or Basia in Polish. I was born and raised in Mississauga a suburb of Toronto, Canada. My family moved us to Arizona in 1998. I have been fortunate enough to spend most of my adult life living in beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona, in the mountains, where if you didn't know - it snows, a lot! I have also lived in ColoRADo spending time between Denver and Summit County.
I retired from full-time work in February of 2023; before my retirement I worked as a Project Manager/Estimator for a paint subcontractor. I began investing in real estate in 2016. I own several rental properties throughout Arizona and Colorado, and I do most of a the remodeling and work on my properties myself. I also have a Masters of Science in Geography with an emphasis in Community Planning and Development which I received with distinction. I love to learn. I speak Polish fluently, and am currently learning Spanish. I hope to some day refresh my French and learn more Indonesian Bahasa.
My favourite things are the mountains, skiing, reading, gallivanting around the globe solo and yoga. I am an avid skier; I also enjoy dancing, kayaking, camping, hiking, fishing, surfing, good beer, bourbon, live music, board games, walking, drinking tea and riding my bike.
I am going to try and post weekly; everything from the most recent brewery I tried, which trails I hiked this week to larger trips like British Columbia and India which are planned for later this year. It might get pretty quite when I am not traveling.
